Who are the tutors?

All of our tutors are friendly, professional native speakers of their tutoring language and have qualifications in teaching their native language and/ or a degree from a university in their own language.

Can I choose my own topics of study?

Yes, of course you can. The course you are choosing is based on an Individual Course Plan designed for you in consultation with Red English and according to topics you are interested in studying. See Topics and Hours for some ideas.

How many hours should I take?

This differs depending on your goals, timetable and previous language-learning experience – however, we have made some suggestions for you in the Topics section. We can give you a better estimate once we know more about what you want and need – please contact us .

Is there a minimum length for each session?

No.  Most clients find two hours is the best length for a session, however, you and your tutor are free to decide when, for how long, and how often you would like your lessons.

Is there a minimum course length?

Yes. Red English courses are very flexible; however, in order to ensure our quality standards, the minimum course length is ten (10) hours.

Can I just take one lesson to see whether I like it or not?

The Red English standard policy in regard to this is no.  It is difficult to find a professional tutor to deliver just one tutoring session.  Besides, we want to provide you with the most professional language tuition service from the start of your journey with us and basically, we need to know where you want to go before we can start!  However, if you do have any special arrangements you consider you need to discuss further, please contact us .

What happens if I dislike my tutor?

If you dislike the tutor or their approach, contact us after the first session and we will arrange another tutor for you.   If we can not find another tutor, you will receive a total refund.

What happens if I cannot come to a session?

We understand that you may occasionally need to cancel a session. Please give your tutor at least 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled session. Giving less than 24 hours notice may lead to you losing that particular session.

How do I pay?

You can use our online payment options as detailed in the payment section of our website,  or, once you have decided on and agreed to your preferred course length (number of hours), contact us and we will send you an invoice. 

Please keep in mind that our tutors are not authorized to receive any payment from you. All tuition fees must be paid to Red English Pty Ltd.  If you would like to have more lessons after you have finished your course, please contact us .

Do I have to add tax to your fees?

No, the fees we quote are the fees you pay.  However, keep in mind that credit card payments attract a 2.4% surcharge.     

Are Red English courses certified?

Due to the individually-tailored nature of our private language tuition, Red English courses are not accredited to any particular qualifications. 

Is there a maximum number of people on a tuition course?

In general, Red English courses are for one, two, or three clients.  However, please contact us if you or your organisation have different requirements.
